about

Purple & Pink Records presents "Good Exercise" by Suavity's Mouthpiece, the original single from the group's forthcoming music album "Peerless Suavity."

A spacious one-two punch of funk, the single's 'A-side' captures the tightly-knit groove of Suavity in studio, coupled with vocalist J. Trafford's searing balance and arrangement. The track waxes in a duet of frolicsome tenor saxophones.

Additional track "Why Must I Be A Boycrazy Teen?" — affectionately intended for performance by girl-group icon Ronnie Spector — modernizes the kitsch horror-themed discs of the early 1960s, with coolly preserved chamber pop adequately reflecting the texture of the time. The track is sung from the point of view of a high school girl who finds herself staring a scaly behemoth in the mirror right as her prom date is to arrive to collect her.
